ROCK SPRINGS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

ATHLETICS

Our athletic program is structured to assist in the overall physical and personal development of student-athletes and to offer varied opportunities for leadership and participation. Student-athletes are coached and motivated to excel within the parameters of good sportsmanship and discipline.

WEIGHT ROOM CONSTRUCTION

Construction has begun on an addition to the gym that will house a brand new weight room and two locker rooms for visitors. The weight room will house our weight lifting classes and athletics weight lifting periods while helping to make more room in the gym so we can utilize the bleachers on the far side during events. This project also includes renovating current locker rooms in the gym for our home teams for volleyball and boys/girls basketball. The cost of the construction is being covered by generous donors and the school. The Athletic Department is in charge of fundraising for the equipment, flooring, and branding that will go into the rooms. Cost estimates for everything we need is approximately $60,000.

We Believe

Students who choose to participate in athletics carry a responsibility for the team, the school, and themselves in how they conduct themselves in all areas of life on and off school campus.

MEET THE
ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

I am originally from Macon, GA. I graduated from Georgia College and State University graduate with a degree in Criminal Justice. My experience in the classroom has been as a Special Education teacher co-teaching middle school math at the Academy for Classical Education (ACE) as well as Howard Middle School in Macon, GA. Between these two schools and Wesleyan College, I held the titles of Assistant Athletic Director, Sports Information Director, and Assistant Softball Coach.

I think it's important for students and athletes to know it is okay to make a mistake. You can use it as an opportunity to learn from it and move on. I want students and parents to know that RSCA leadership has a rich vision for RSCA Athletics. I enjoy being a part of such a wonderful athletic program at RSCA and plan to continue adding new sports to the school as we grow.
